Il pezzo viene successivamente rifinito a mano, carteggiato, dipinto a più strati con pigmenti professionali e sigillato con finitura opaca protettiva anti-UV. Concept
This sculptural work is part of RELICS: The Last Cut, the curatorial line by The Frame Beyond dedicated to what remains when the final act has already been accomplished. Not the origin. Not the action. The aftermath.
Inspired by the legendary Breaking Bad finale, the sculpture immortalizes Gus Fring at the exact moment when impeccable order coexists with atomic devastation. The posture is still solemn, the suit is intact, but the end is already irreversibly accomplished.
The Work
A spectacular and dramatic contrast in half: on one side, the calm and methodical face of the methamphetamine king, on the other, anatomical devastation with the skull and burnt tissues exposed, sculpted with microscopic details and hand-painted with scientific rigor.
