Concept
This sculptural work is part of RELICS: The Last Cut, the curatorial line by The Frame Beyond dedicated to what remains when the final act has already been accomplished. Not the origin. Not the action. The aftermath.
Inspired by Art the Clown (Terrifier), the work does not portray him as a conventional figure, but as a visceral relic: a silent and disturbing presence that still bears the marks of grotesque and unstoppable violence.
The Work
The stark contrast between the black and white of the clown makeup is broken by multi-layered artisanal painting that stratifies livid hues, congealed blood, and organic textures. The mime collar abruptly ends, revealing the broken spine, a breaking point between theatrical madness and the condemnation to remain.
