Concept
This sculptural work is part of RELICS: The Last Cut, the curatorial line of The Frame Beyond dedicated to what remains when the final act has already taken place. Not the origin. Not the action. The aftermath.
From the disturbing world of Non Aprite Quella Porta emerges the macabre relic of Leatherface: not the armed killer in pursuit, but a totemic head displayed as a dark artifact, supported by the severed spine.
The Work
The human skin mask is rendered with deep folds, scars, and visible raw stitching. The disheveled hair and worn tie contrast with the broken spine, beside which lies the heavy, destroyed slaughter hammer.
