RELICS: The Last Cut - Ghostface

Concept

This sculptural work is part of RELICS: The Last Cut, the curatorial line by The Frame Beyond dedicated to what remains when the final act has already taken place. Not the origin. Not the action. The aftermath.

Ghostface is not depicted as the cinematic icon in action or during a call, but as the final relic surviving the massacre. The screaming face emerges as a solemn anatomical remnant, fixed above a fragment of a broken spine — a distinctive element of the collection. Here there are no necks: only remains exist.

The Work

The sculpture features a deliberately pulp rendition, with worn and textured surfaces. The famous mask, distorted by the scream, stands above the severed spine, while the iconic blood-soaked dagger, a tangible symbol of consumed violence, rests on the scenic base.
