Concept
This sculptural work is part of RELICS: The Last Cut, the curatorial line by The Frame Beyond dedicated to what remains when the final act has already been accomplished. Not the origin. Not the action. The aftermath.
Inspired by the narrative epilogue where the illusion of immortality definitively collapses, the sculpture portrays Lord Voldemort reduced to his visceral essence at the exact moment the last fragment of soul gives way.
The Work
The ophidian face is devoid of arrogance, marked by waxy skin and dark veins. The gaze is still lit but no longer dominates. The sculpture is supported by a textured base enriched with fragments of the Elder Wand and the serpentine remains of Nagini.
