Concept

This monumental sculptural work is part of RELICS: Digital Remains, the curatorial series by The Frame Beyond dedicated to what happens when a digital entity loses its stability and violently collapses into real physical space.

Inspired by the legendary Outworld champion from the Mortal Kombat universe, this 1-meter tall sculpture captures Goro during his most iconic and brutal Fatality — the spine rip — transfigured into a tangible, solemn, and inescapable fragment of digital violence.

Here there is no narration, there is interference. It is not what was in the game, but what remained after the break.

The work transforms a broken identity into pure sculptural matter, through meticulous attention to every single anatomical detail and tactile finish:
