RELICS — The Last Cut - Pinhead

Concept

This sculptural work is part of RELICS: The Last Cut, the curatorial line of The Frame Beyond dedicated to what remains when the final act has already been accomplished. Not the origin. Not the action. The aftermath.

Inspired by Pinhead, Clive Barker's supreme horror icon, the work captures the essence of ritual pain and sacred horror. An extradimensional artifact where the torment of the flesh becomes solemn and immutable geometric art.

The Work

The maniacal geometry of the cranial grid is enriched with high-definition nails. The livid skin and anatomical incisions create a disturbing contrast with the broken spine at the base, on which rests the enigmatic Lament Configuration (Lemarchand's Box).

Each artifact is created in our Italian laboratory through a rigorous artistic manufacturing process:

• Precision Manual Intervention: Manual sanding and surface finishing to enhance textures, lacerations, and strong chiaroscuro.
• Multi-Layer Artisan Painting: Manual application of professional acrylic paints with deep layering to achieve an organic, vibrant, and disturbing effect.
• Matte Protective Finish: Final anti-reflective matte shielding that preserves pigment intensity over time.
• Guaranteed Uniqueness: Entirely handmade execution ensures that each individual piece presents minimal and unique exclusive nuances.
